I have no idea where to start. We have crammed so much fabulousness into the past hours.
We’ve talked to hundreds of enthusiasts and great people. Our day started at 5am today… My camera has been sequestered by the social media department for the time being, so I do not have the hundreds of beautiful panoramic shots I’d have liked to show you available right now. I will do a photo blog for you tomorrow.
What I will say is this. My sides hurt from laughing, my heart is full from all the wonderful people I have gotten to meet, and my feet are killing me from walking and standing.
But I can scarcely remember ever feeling so blissed out and content.
We are a rowdy, motley crew. But oh my word do we have some laughs. I can’t post MOST of the hilarity that ensues moment to moment, but I assure you, we are ALL hilarious.
The blessing this morning up at Cape Reinga was beautiful. The Kaumatua Pineaha Murray was kind, and sincere, and had his socks knocked off when he went for a ride in Sean’s blue Tesla with Ludicrous mode.
Tomorrow is a HUGE day in Whangarei. We will be at the basin from 7am-between 1pm and 3pm. We’re going to duck out a little bit early and try and get home to see the kids after school. I am missing them terribly, and we’ve only just started. I do not for a split second regret being here, or feel like I’ve made the wrong decision joining the road trip though. Not only are we meeting amazing people who are #LeadingTheCharge, we are having so much fun doing it!
I’m pretty tired so I’ll leave it there.
Here’s just a few snapshots from today for you to look through.
